Roohani Sisters is a well- established name in the circles of Sufi music lovers.
‘Roohani Sisters- Jagriti Luthra Prasanna and Dr Neeta Pandey Negi exponent in Sufi music enthralled the audience with their enthralled the audience with their soulful renditions. With an interactive stage presence and a connect with audience, got the listners swaying on popular Sufi numbers like Dama Dam Mast Qalandar, Ali Ali and others.
The event was organized by JMV Global Foundation in association with the Club Patio. The Foundation oganises musical concerts under the banner ‘Amrit Rasvadan’ to promote Indian Art and Culture.
Recognition Awards
To encourage artists, JMV Foundation facilitates noted and upcoming Indian Classical artists on their platform. Continuing the same series, the two artists felicitated during the event were- Pranshu Chaturlal and Shinjhini Kulkarni.
Pranshu Chaturlal is the disciple and grandson of Tablamaestro Pt Chaturlal. He is amongst the few percussionists who plays Indian Raga on Tabla in fusion with western instruments like Drums, and Cajon.
Kathak dancer Shinjhini Kulkarni, disciple and granddaughter of legendary Kathak dancer Pt Birju Maharaj. An exponent of Kathak dance form she promotes the dance performances through her stage shows and is also mentoring young dancers through ‘Sai Shinjhini Academy’
The JMV Foundation specialises in organising events for the three defence forces. In its continuing endeavour to uphold the musical cultural series, the organisation is preparing to put together a musical evening at Leh for the battalions The managing director of the foundation Sweta Ranjan said, “The serving officers and Jawans of the defence forces need to be saluted for the safety and security they provide us with. We, through our concerts, salute them for their hard work and efforts.”
The moderator and the key person of the organisation Capt. Ashutosh Shekhar, a senior pilot with a leading airline, said, “I facilitate the cultural events to express my gratitude towards the Indian Forces and Indian classical art forms.’’
Present on the occasion were the club members, artists, corporate leaders, home makers and Harneet Chugh the General Manager Club Patio and Founder & Editor of SUBURB, Vineeta Jerath Grover who felicitated the artists along with the organisers.
