The benefit of The Food For All, an initiative by Leisure Valley Runners Foundation (LVRF) has reached thousands of underprivileged families amidst the lockdown crisis.

Amidst the current crisis, the team of LVRF has its goal in focus- Food for All. The Foundation started an initiative to provide free and hygienic food to thousands of labourers, migrant workers and members of the economically weaker sections daily.

“During lockdown 1.0, starting with 300 meals on day one to 3,500 plus meals on the 10th day the LVRF members are reaching out up to the farthest corner of Gurgaon with cooked meals. The meals cooked at three different kitchens across Gurgaon following hygiene and safety guidelines get distributed by our members in different localities of the city,” says core team member, Atul Arya. The volunteers reach on call as well with the ration.

As the group received requests for dry ration kits, the team with the help of the District Commissioner of Police, East, Gurugram office began its distribution as well.

“We started with an initial commitment of 500 such kits which translate into food for 2500 people for ten days or roughly Fifty thousand meals” says Ankit Goel, another core team member of LVRF. “As of May 10th, we have now supplied over 1500 kits.”

“We are fortunate and grateful to all our supporting partners and patrons -the kitchens, Red Cross, volunteers, the Kirana stores that get us the ration and many others who have contributed in kind,” adds core team member Rajendra Bahuguna.”

Blurb: “Lastly, the constant guidance and support from DCP-E office & Gurgaon Authorities truly helped us in our mission.’’ Team LVRF
