Gurgaon Foodie its 7th edition awards announced recently as always created a lot of excitement among the food enthusiasts and the winners.  Noteworthy about these coveted awards are that they are consumer-centric without the influence of any jury and absence of any sponsorship do not dilute or compromise its objectivity.

 Based on people’s choice and through the online process of voting the selection process is transparent. All in all, people’s wards- people cherry-picking their favourites across various categories.

Since times are extraordinary, breaking the tradition this year the organisers have decided to keep it a low key affair on January 31, unlike each year when there was a gala celebration after the awards were announced.   

The award winners are optionally invited to attend collect their awards at The Horizon Plaza Artisanal Market where people can walk in and meet the winners. Bunny Suraiya, the author, would be Master of the Ceremonies at the event.

Rise of Home Chefs during the lockdown

Since the concept of home chef and cooking for passion is on rising in Gurugram, the winners in this category enjoyed a lot of love and appreciation from food lovers across Delhi & Gurgaon.

Some home chefs earned fanfare following too during this lockdown for their delectable food preparation and cooking styles. The most sort after home chef   Hema Malik, a media & communication professional, swept both the choicest Member Awards- Lockdown Chef of the Year and Gurgaon Foodie of the Year. 

In home-based Entrepreneurs category, Vineet Kapoor, Anamika Bajpai, Rohit Bhargava and Anubha Garg came out as winners.

Some of the winners this year were a few past favourites like Dhaba, Big Chill, Cafe Delhi Heights, Di Ghent, Biryani by Kilo and Binge. New favourites emerged like Comorin, Yum Yum Cha and Pizzaolio.
