Kick start water therapy
Water therapy is a traditional way of beginning each day with a glass of lukewarm water. The habit of drinking 6 to 8 glasses of lukewarm every morning is beneficial not only in losing weight but can cure digestive disorders, keeps the gut healthy, helps in reducing some unidentified pains, asthma, ulcers and more.
Set a reminder to drink water
The idea of water therapy is to increase water intake throughout the day, starting from the morning till you go to bed at night. It is designed to get digestion going and cleansing the body by removing toxins and waste from the body. The daily intake of water during this therapy ranges between 2.7 litres – 3.7 litres per day.
· Immediately upon waking in the morning, drink 1.50 litres of water. It might be difficult to start the protocol in your early days. Start with four glasses, then pause for two minutes, then drink the last two glasses of water.
· Do not eat or drink anything else for 45 minutes before or after drinking the water. Ideally, this should be done the first thing in the morning, even before brushing your teeth.
· After breakfast, lunch and dinner, do not eat or drink anything for two hours.
