Federation of Indian Industries (FII) organised Holi Special event to celebrate the festival of colours in Gurugram, much-needed laughter therapy after a hiatus of two years of the pandemic.

“With the ease in Covid protocols and the world opening up, Hasya Kavi Sammelan was our natural choice to get FII members and our industry associated together, said Deepak Maini, General Secretary Haryana Chapter, FII. Popular for his poker face, Surinder Sharma opened the event using the flair of comedy & sarcasm. He got the audience rolled out of their seats, laughing at his political satires and everyday incidences. Shambhu Shikhar was the second in the row for his comic narrations. Apart from being a poet, he is also a comedian and a writer. Hailing from Madhubani, Bihar, Shambhu was the Great Indian Laughter Challenge –III semi-finalist. He was awarded Bharatendyu Harishchand Puraskar by the Hindi Academy, Government of Delhi, in 2010. Over the years, he has carved a style in his poetry; when he takes on the stage, the audience has all ears to hear his powerful renditions. Last but not least, on the poetry stage, who called himself ’a small package loaded with fire’ was India’s youngest comic poet Chetan Charchit. His style was vivacious, which charged the audience for the post-event ‘phoolon ki Holi.’

Deepak Jain, Managing Director FII, felicitated the poets and interacted with the industry owners on the road ahead for them with the Federation of Indian Industry. Harbhajan Singh, Chairman, CSR Committee FII, greeted the participants and motivated the audience with his motivating words of appreciation.

The event’s chief organisers, S.P Aggarwal, General Secretary, FII Gurugram Chapter, who is an Ayurveda doctor and Manoj Garg, Director Linen Design Company Pvt Ltd, enthusiastically coordinated the show seamlessly.
