Inauguration of Library for Police Personnel & SSG

The Commissioner of Police, Gurugram, KK Rao, IPS, inaugurated a library for the Gurugram Police Personnel and members of the Society for Safe Gurgaon (SSG) at the office building of the Commissioner of Police, Gurugram.

The Commissioner of Police, Gurugram, KK Rao, inaugurated the much awaited library in the city especially meant for the police force Gurugram & the members of Society for Safe Gurugram.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Rao said, “This library is exclusive for police force, and the members of SSG will be able to utilise the facility for their benefits. The office of Society for Safe Gurgaon will also function from the same premise along with the library. The office bearers of SSG will manage the library in collaboration with the Gurugram Police.” 

Mr Harbhajan Singh, President of Society for Safe Gurgaon said, “This was a long-awaited initiative. Society for Safe Gurgaon in collaboration with the Gurugram Police will create facilities conducive to effective policing and will help in organising the workshops for the benefit of the police force with the support of academic institutions.” 

The library will stock books related to law and enforcement, police rules and regulations, management, motivational speakers, traffic regulation, general awareness, and more.

Members of SSG and other volunteers have donated the books to the newly formed library. Upendra Nath Sharma, General Secretary, SSG informed that soon all SOPs will be in place to issue the books from the library and also very soon new books shall get added to the library on various relevant subjects.  

On the occasion, Rajnish Virmani (Vice President, SSG) launched his book. Commissioner of Police, Mr Rao did the honours of releasing the book and introducing it to the members present.  Later, the author signed a few copies of his book and distributed to the members of SSG and police officers present at the opening.  

Present at the event were ACP Pankhuri, Gurugram Police, Ravinder Kumar, Gurugram Police, RajnishVirmani (Vice President, SSG), UpendraNath Sharma (General Secretary, SSG) Rohit Malik (Jt. Secretary, SSG); and Bharat Bhushan Sharma (Member, SSG). The entire function was conducted gracefully making social distancing a priority.
