Three days Krishna Janmashtami Celebration Concludes
Janmashtami celebration at Shri Shri Radha Gopinath Temple of ISKCON Sector 45 concludes its three days long programme. Over 60,000 devotees visited the temple from early morning until mid-19th August.
“There were a plethora of activities throughout the three days’ celebrations. Bhajan, Kirtan, Krishna Katha, Cultural Programme, Dandiya, Abhishek and Maha Abhishek ceremonies and other attractions. “We are very grateful to all our Sewa leaders who dedicated their time & energy and served with utmost dedication,” said Achyut Hari Das, President of ISKCON Sector 45 Temple Gurugram.
Special security arrangements were made for the devotees at the temple and also to manage traffic. “We are grateful that the programme was smooth and devotees could get joyous and peaceful Darshan at the temple.” The next day Krishna Celebration was the Birthday of Prabhupad- The Founder of ISKCON World Wide. The occasion was celebrated with great spirit, added Das.
The ISKCON Sector 45 Gurugram congregation has a rich history. From a small gathering of people that started about 20 years ago, the ISKCON Gurugram has come a long way by transforming itself from a small preaching centre to a full-fledged temple. The congregational activities include Lord Jagannath’s Rath Yatra, value-education programmes, Mantra meditation, vegetarian Karma-free cooking, distribution of free Prasad to the destitute and homeless under ISKCON’s Food for Life Programme, distribution of Vedic books, Kirtan concerts, Harinam Sankirtan in the streets, and Sunday feast programmes.
Devotees may look forward to a more significant celebration soon at the temple on the occasion of Radha Ashtami on September 4, Sunday.
