Federation of Indian Industry signs MOU with Shriram Institute for Industrial Research
Federation of Indian Industry (FII) signed an MOU with Shriram Institute for Industrial Research(SRI) New Delhi on February 16, 2022, to explore mutual synergies and work in tandem to provide technical and research support to industry leaders in FII.
SRI is one of the respected research institutes of the country founded over seventy years ago currently engaged in a wide range of R& D, analytical and related activities, including material sciences, life sciences and biosciences. Some of the unique services provided by SRI include Gamma radiation processing for medical & herbal products shelf life enhancement of vegetables and fruits.
SRI also works as a technology business incubator for entrepreneurs for testing their business ideas and make pilot projects for various business models. Besides the state of the art equipment for research and analytical work, SRI has a large pool of qualified scientists and experts in multiple fields working relentlessly in the country’s progress.
On the other hand, FII, a not-for-profit organisation, is an advisory interface between the Government and Industries. A creation of industrialist & philanthropist Deepak Jain. Founded to provide structured and comprehensive advice and information to Indian entrepreneurs, foreign investors and government on the business environment, prevailing laws, operational intricacies, and implementable solutions.
FII offers a platform for networking and relationship building within and across the industrial sectors, policymakers, and the International business fraternity. Currently, FII has a presence in 22 states in the country and soon will touch 50 international chapters by the year-end, according to Mr Jain.
On the occasion of signing the MOU, Deepak Jain said, “We aim to build an exclusive platform for enterprises and businesses, and with SRI a highly credible organisation as our affiliate, a lot of opportunities will open up for FII industry owners and leaders. I already visualise more work coming to SRI from this direction. Together we can make India strong by giving impetus to various industries and supporting the entrepreneurs for a larger good of the nation and the community.”
FII senior members visited the SRI facility in North Delhi for a campus tour and began a formal collaboration between the two entities by signing an MOU. Mr Raman Saluja from FII and Mr Mukul Das, Director SRI, signed the MOU in the presence of FII Director-General Mr Deepak Jain and Mr Vijay Sardana Advisor & Techno Legal expert and Chairman FII Agri committee. Other senior team members present were the HODs from Shriram Institute for Industrial Research Dr Manmohan Kumar, Rajesh Kumar, Dr Binu Bhat, Dr Vivek Narayan Singh, Dr D.P. Jain, Dr Sanjay Rajput and Dr Bhupesh Sharma. Senior team leaders from FII gracing the event were Deepak Maini, General Secretary, Haryana Chapter, PK Gupta, president secretary Sector 37 Gurugram, Neena Wagh Chairperson (Persons with Special needs) and Vineeta Jerath Grover, Chairperson (Women Empowerment Committee) for FII.
Dr Mukul Das, Director SRI, said, “the SRI labs have all the necessary infrastructure that can accelerate industrial research and product validation adhering to the highest standard of scientific work by maintaining sincere integrity, reliability and ace ethical practices.”
SRI has built a formidable reputation for quality and reliability and is a well-known name across the Industries with hundred plus scientists and a campus spread across 10 acres with 15 world-class laboratories.
