Jai Bahl wins, Pretisha impresses at the Gem Young Master Golf Tour
The first event of the Gem Young Master Golf Tour, a collaboration between Gem International Tour (UAE) and Young Master Tour (India), was played at Golden Greens Golf Club. The course conditions were tough, with the breeze blowing in different directions and the tricky pin positions.
This mixed event had a surprise leader on Day 1, Pretisha Gill, with a 71 only under par score on Day 1; she was closely followed by Jai Bahl, 72, Anshul Kabthiyal, 73, and Harman Sachdeva & Vihaan Reddy, both on 74.
Day 2 saw Tarun Ajay play the tournament’s best round, a four-under 68 and move up the leaderboard, but Jai regained the lead with a one-under 71. Pretisha made a few mistakes and shot a 75, Anshul 73, and Harman 74. Vedant 73, Mahreen 76, and Zoravar Randhawa 76 kept the battle interesting.
Day 3 saw a close contest between Jai, Pretisha, and Anshul, but after the 13th hole, Jai looked comfortable and shot a 75 to win the event by four strokes. Pretisha, who impressed all with her game, shot 76 to finish second, while Anshul also shot a 76 to finish third.
